The Gospel books were not always written in back-to-back chronological order.

Be assured these were not mistakes.

Sometimes a Gospel writer would group 2 related stories together to make a point.

Sometimes a Gospel writer would put an entire story together that happened in 2 parts to tell the full story as one writing piece.

When something they wrote about was not in a back-to-back sequence of events, they  were trying to tell us that… We just didn’t read carefully enough to notice it.

Too many of us assume that in order for the Bible to be considered “inerrant”, that means the writers of the Gospels were required to pen their stories of Jesus in a “perfect” timeline sequence.

But it is actually freeing and comforting to know that God does not hold His people to such overly-perfectionistic detail in order to make His truth known.

The Bible  IS the inerrant Word of God .
